Lightning in the Sky: Poetry for a Dark Age

MAKING SENSE

Making sense
Is the preoccupation
Of the mundane
It's a fantasy
To believe
In the veracity of the past
The past changes
Even more
Quickly than the present
Who knows
How much sunshine it takes
To build strong bones
Too much
And the outer layers
Decay
Too little
And you crumble from within
